Collectors Cornered is a weekly video column, filmed inside Collectors Corner in Baltimore. Join us every week as we discuss comic book news from a different point of view and get instant feedback from real customers on New Comics Day, as we literally corner them and and ask questions about comic books and related topics. In this installment of Collectors Cornered we celebrate C-Day to coincide with the release of CROSSED : Badlands #1. We also participated in the retailer contest to determine a winning store that best promoted the comic & C-Day that Avatar Press was offering to further enhance the event. We gave away promotional Buttons, Tattoos, Comics, Crossed Cupcakes and more. We held a Raffle to give away two Retailer Bonus Incentive Covers to 1 Lucky CROSSED fan along with inviting a professional team of makeup FX artists (Mark Wenger & Elaine Sfondiles) to transform willing customers into the infected from CROSSED. In a matter of minutes the infection spread and CC Owner Randy and a few customers attempted to flee the crazed infected by exiting through the back door. Stay til the end to see what happened. A great promotion from Avatar Press and the kind of support I wish more publisher’s would give to their comics. We had a lot of fun! C-Day!
